Food, Inc

This documentary turns a wide lens on the food industry in the US today and in the process, engaged with interesting topics while opening my eyes to a few things along the way. Nothing here was too shocking, and disturbing images of what the meat packing industry tries so hard to conceal are kept to a low boil. But what I found really interesting was the extreme control placed over the patented industry standard pesticide-resistent soybean. Farmers really do get the screws put to them in so many ways. Recommended for veggie and meat eaters alike. (6/25/2010)
