I don’t think this was a popular show, but it’s really worth checking out. It ran this past spring to summer on CBS. It’s about a group of people who end up going to an island off the coast of Seattle for a wedding. While on the island, murders start happening in the same style as 7 years early when a homicidal maniac went on a killing rampage one night. The whole season you’re left with trying to figure out “who done it”. Could it be a copycat killer? Could it be the original killer? Or maybe everyone has an ulterior motive for being on the island… (8/1/2009)
Positives: I know watching a series on CBS might make some people weary about giving this a try…ahem…Mcn…cough cough. But if I hadn’t known this was from network tv, I definitely would not have guessed it from the graphic nature of the show. Some of the deaths are pretty gruesome and they don’t “leave it up to the viewers imagination” as to what happened but cutting away from the scene. You pretty much see it all. If that’s not your cup of tea, then perhaps this should be in the negative section. The character development was pretty good throughout the series. I found characters that I didn’t like at first started to grow on me by the end. Storyline was average to good. For me it had a “I know what you did last summer” feel to it. Like if they drew that movie out over 13 episodes.
Negatives: There were a lot of moments where you were just like “How could they let him get away” or “Why didn’t they stay and help instead of running away” But those are just minors complaints.
