Love is in the Air (Ma vie en l'air)

Starts off on the wrong note just because you get thrown into intense scenes without being introduced to the characters. You are also finding yourself adjusting to the French language. If you hang in for the first 15-30minutes, however, you will be great rewarded with quite a light-hearted romantic comedy. The main character, Yann, is an airplane pilot emergency instructor. He finds what he thinks is love, but is challenged to determine if this is true love he has found (many years later). During this period his long-time friendship with freeloader, Ludo, begins to wither. An attractive neighbor (Alice) also moves in, but it would be just too risky for Yann to have a relationship with his neighbor, right? In the end, you find yourself pleading with Yann to do the right thing which he never does (until the end perhaps?) (8/25/2009)
