A very interesting and intriguing trailer was just that - an intriguing trailer. The movie itself had no success in keeping my interest and we pulled the plug 30 minutes in. Even reading the plot summary on www.themoviespoiler.com bored me to tears. Perhaps the animation caused my detachment. While the animated world looked very lifelike (the beginning of the movie seemed to echo Wall-E), it was extremely difficult to empathize with the characters. It could have been the voices (Elijah Wood) or the lack of upfront storytelling. Whatever the cause, I now know I can't always trust "brought to you from the mind of Tim Burton." (6/15/2010)
