Who is Salt? is the tagline for Angelina Jolie's summer actioner. I'll tell you who she is not: the female Jason Bourne. This movie lacked the intelligence and subtlety of the Damon spy flicks as it tried to one-up them at every turn. If Jason Bourne jumped in front of 1 train, Salt jumps in front of 3 trains. If Jason took down 2 bad guys, Salt took down 6 bad guys. Even the tension twinged soundtrack was a poor Bourne imitation. I found myself bored to tears and nearly took a nap. The action wasn't good enough to maintain my interest and an early promise of MacGyver-esque ingenuity went unfulfilled. (7/28/2010)
