Just before football season, I decided it was time to take the plunge and based on Deuce Reports, I opened up a Target card, got 10% off, and scooped up a 46 inch LCD tv from Sony. So far its been a phenomenal viewing experience. HD channels, esp. sports come in absolutely flawless, the sharpness of the picture is incredible. Despite its large size, its amazing how light it weighs, it was a piece of cake for me and Wu to carry it up 3 flights unlike my 5.5 year old 30 inch flat panel which is like carrying Colvin on your back. There are some issues with darkness on certain movies (like Dark Knight, but when I adjusted the brightness it looked impeccable, the only problem with that is you have to change it back to darken it once the movie is over. The 2 video games I've played on it (Madden and Guitar Hero for PS3) both look amazing. The sound isn't the best I've ever heard, I think a nice set of surround speakers will take care of that.
