This movie was great. It told the story of the Temptations in a very realistic and comprehensive way. The lives of one of the original Motown legends was wonderfully depicted in this movie. The five members (Paul Williams, Otis Williams , Eddie Kendricks, David Ruffin, and bassist Melvin "Blue" Franklin lived very interesting lives. Fighting through the segregated southern states and minimal opportunities, they fought to achieve greatness. You can really get a good glimpse of both their personal and professional struggles that came alone with their fame. In addition to the fantastic acting in this film, you can also appreciate the wonderful music made by the Temptations, Smokie Robinson, and Barry Gordy if you are a fan of Motown-type of music. This made for TV movie was based on the book by Otis Williams who is the only living member left from the Temptations. (2/22/2010)
