Memories of Nate
Thank you for visiting this tribute to Nate. Memorial Photo Albums | Gortner.com
Life is never definite, it is always being created and taken away. I believe Life's purpose is to create something larger than your own self. To create something that can't be lost or taken away. Love, education, respect, character are just a few of these things. Based on this idea, Nates life wasn't lost, it was one of the greatest successes I know.
Thanks for the great page Gort. Reflecting back on Nate still gives me inspiration and education on how to live my own life.
PS- hey, don't lose this one.

Hey guys. Its been six years now but the time goes by so quickly. Its a day like Jan 23 that makes the everyday moans and groans seem so insignificant. I promise I'll work harder to get some more content up the site soon.

Matt, It has been such a long time since I have seen or talked to you. This page is the best thing I have ever seen. I miss him very much and I know he misses being here with us. BUT when we get there things will be even better because he'll be waiting for us and help us deal with the change. I would love to hear from you or anyone else sometime. Love ya. Andi

Matt, I just went into classmates.com and found where you listed your web page and what you have done with the memories on Natey are GREAT. I miss Nate also and I was unable to make it back to NY when all of that happened. I recently moved and I found alot of pictures and Natey was in alot of them from "Leader of the Pack" (which was a GREAT time for me) and also from Manhatten when we were in Cross Country. Keep this up and It would be great to hear from you.

Matt, it's so hard to believe it's been five years already. It seems like only yesterday, I got that awful call. I think about him all the time and know he's watching over all of us. As long as we always remember him he will never be totally gone.

Nate passed away five years ago today. It was the saddest day of my life and every second of it is so vivid in my mind. I wish every second of the time I spent with Nate could be so vivid. My favorite dreams are the ones where Nate appears.
I think about two weeks before he passed, we were going to go sledding and everyone was slow in getting to my house, of course. And Nate had called me to see if we had left yet. And I told him "Nate, we'd never forget you buddy." How very true.

Matt, this is great what you have done. I wish I had seen it sooner. I am sure everyone feels the same when it comes to missing Natey. He is in my heart everyday and I visit his grave every chance I get. It is my way of holding on to the memories and a way of letting go of the saddness. It is hard to imagine him gone but like your quote said nothing disappears without a trace. I know Natey is with all of us everyday.

It is definetly a tough thing to deal with when one of your own passes on but
remembering them and praying to god lets them know that you are thinking
about them all the time. They would just want what is best for you and for
you to succeed in whatever you do and to lead a happy and healty life. Cool
website bro. I miss you very much and hope we get to see each other soon.
Love you big bro John.

It's hard to believe it was four years ago yesterday that Nate passed away.
We've all grown a lot in the past 4 years. Next year we'll be in places we
never imagined. Never forget Nate as we step into the next part of our lives. RIP Nate Dogg
